About Amami Green Tree Frog

Grows to about 4.5-7.7 cm. Breeds from late December through around May. Found from lowlands to mountains, in forests around ponds, rice paddies, and other still water. It calls vigorously on humid or rainy days and lays white, foam-covered egg masses on branches overhead or in streamside vegetation. Even when calling loudly, it is very hard to spot. Larger than Hallowell's tree frog, which makes the two easier to tell apart.
